About our Pastor

Rev. Dr. Richard J. M. Hans

Attended Columbia Heights High School, Columbia Heights, MN then onto St. Cloud State University, St. Cloud MN with a major in Health/Physical Education.  Taught Physical Education and Health in the Fridley, MN School system for 7 years.  On to Concordia College, Milwaukee WI for a degree in Outdoor Ministries.  Served as camp director at SonRise Lutheran Retreat Center in Pottersville, NY for two years.  Onto Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, IN.  Served his vicarage in Blue Earth MN.  Placement call to Faith Lutheran Church in Pierre SD.  Also served as pastor in MIlaca MN for ten years.  Moved to Brainerd to serve as Mission and Mission Facilitator for the MN N District/Lutheran Church/Missouri Synod and served in that position for 16 years until his retirement.  He also received his Doctorate of Ministry from George Fox University while serving the MN N District  Has come out of retirement to serve as full-time pastor at Living Savior Lutheran Church.  He enjoys competing in triathlons, reading, outdoor activities and helping others be their best through his Certified Coaching through the Lutheran Church/MIssouri Synod.
